Text: John 1:29
Clues John gave about Christ:
Jesus Was Perfect - The lamb for the sacrifice had to be perfect (Exodus 12:5)
Jesus Would Have to Die - He was a sacrifice (Matthew 16:21; Isaiah 53:7)
They Were in Bondage to Sin - The sacrifice began the deliverance from bondage (Exodus 12; John 8:32-34)
Sacrifices Were Ending - Jesus’ sacrifice did what the animal sacrifices could not (Hebrews 10:1-4)
He Did Not Come to Establish a Physical Kingdom - He was establishing a kingdom that would not be hindered by His death (Matthew 16:18-19; John 18:36)
Salvation was for Jews & Gentiles - For the world; gives us hope (Romans 15:12)
