Contend Earnestly for the Faith

Posted on June 24, 2008 at 10:06 am by Andy Sochor

Text: Jude 3

Our Common Salvation – the originally intended topic; important, but there was a reason to discuss something else

Contend Earnestly – do battle, struggle, do so with seriousness

The Faith was Once Delivered – the word of God was revealed from heaven, one time for all time

Why it is Necessary to Contend (v. 4) – false teachers will lead brethren astray; because the original topic was important (common salvation), Jude covered this instead so brethren would not follow after sin and lose their common salvation
